Welcome to Derby Ear Clinic
Derby Ear Clinic is run by Hannah Cresswell, an Ear Nose and Throat Advanced Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of clinical experience in the area of Head and Neck nursing. Hannah holds a full nursing Masters Degree and is Enhanced DBS checked.
Hannah has received specialist Otology training whilst working in ENT over a number of years.
Hannah has previously worked in NHS clinics removing ear wax and foreign bodies with micro-suction and manual tools. Her private ear wax removal and custom made ear mould clinics are currently being held within a private clinic setting and as home based appointments. (Any distance over a 15 mile radius from the base will be subject to extra charges.)
Microsuction and Custom Made Ear Moulds
Micro-suction removes earwax and debris from the canal using a gentle in-ear suction device. The clinician is able to view in the ear canal using microscopic glasses or a head light through out the procedure. An otoscope is also used to view the inner ear in its entirety and may be used multiple times through out the procedure.
In line with government guidance and specialist advice ear microsuction remains a very low risk procedure. Full, due care and attention is made to any prospective appointments.
